  1. JORMA KAUKONEN was born in Washington, D.C. in Having moved to California, he accompanied JANIS JOPLIN, among others, on guitar at her first minor shows in bars and small clubs. JORMA KAUKONEN has been inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.
  2. The artwork found here is very close to the original Hot Tuna album as if Jorma was on his way back to the begining. A powerful opener of: "Straight Ahead" sets the tone of Jorma and his guitars that are mixed with the leads lower than the slashing chords that carry the tune. Low key it is but it sounds very nice/5(20).

"Straight Ahead" also has Kaukonen's distinct quirkiness but with Steeler's relentlessly busy drumming, this too has that punk-rock edge to it. White Rabbit and Somebody to Love, you'll hear that sound. Everybody got Twin Reverbs right in the middle of those sessions, so that's the sound you hear on the rest of the record.
